I’m an architect and researcher working with spatial realities. I’m interested in consolidating space, exponential technology and advanced intelligence.

RESEARCH

I examine space as a geometric entity in the context of complexity and system science, mathematics and philosophy. I study the interface of the physical and non-physical (synthetic, virtual, meta) realm as entangled agencies, existing in a continuum of mutual influence and co-creation of realities. I investigate systems, patterns and operative models to build future worlds.

PRACTICE

I specialize in mechanisms and interfaces of spatial systems. Having focused on centralized planning and system distortions (fragmentation, encapsulation, voids, entropy etc.), I shifted towards development of decentralized systems, reality extensions, blockchain and intelligent technologies applied to space. I design synthetic virtual world (the metaverse) and develop its interconnectivity with real world infrastructures.

BACKGROUND

‘Petra, you seem like a strange kind of an architect.‘ Perhaps, but not really. It all makes sense once you connect the dots.

I was a ‘normal’ architect for many years and I did love it. I drew, built models and calculated things.

But while I knew I was in the right field, I oftentimes felt uneasy. Stemming from the knowledge of the landscapes of knowledge waiting to be discovered.

While everything I saw I could change, surprisingly not all problems could be solved by beautifying the city.

And while beauty if well, beautiful, I was frustrated — how come are there problems emerging at the same places, why don’t things work even though we made them pretty? Why won’t people behave the way we expect them to?

This might sound crazy, but many architects think like this. Good riddance, this mindset!

Why do we have failed utopian cities, buildings that everyone hates and ghettos nobody wants to go to? Why is there decay, congestion and crime in some city parts and bounty and joy in others? It is not a coincidence, it’s system engineering. It’s the invisible city.

The invisible city is the operation system, the organization of space and it management. All stacked and intertwined, computing like a complex organism.

There are multiple realities, space is infinite and it is systemically organized and structured.

Study of failed utopias, structure of spatial realities > new systems and technologies that elevate our living.

In the end, everything just computes
